35th session of the Igman Initiative in Sarajevo
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Agreement end 25 years of the Igman Initiative, the Igman Initiative, together with the Network for Building Peace, organized a conference in Sarajevo on December 15, 2025, entitled “Rising Fascism and Two Anniversaries.” The conference was attended by leading intellectuals from the four Dayton Agreement countries and placed the 30th anniversary of Dayton in the context of current developments in the region and Europe, where far-right trends have recently become dominant, and in some regional countries, there are concerning concrete examples of societal fascistization. The conference received strong media coverage, and the panel on fascism was broadcast live by Federal Television from Sarajevo. At the conclusion of the conference, participants adopted a joint statement, which the co-chairs from each of the four countries will deliver to the heads of EU delegations in their respective countries
